Med-Tex Services, Inc. and NSR Solutions are proud announce a fall Confined Space Rescue Technician Class aboard the Battleship New Jersey BB-62. This program will begin with the basics of confined space rescue and increase quickly to advanced vertical and horizontal entries. This program will challenge the student to think outside the box and utilize critical thinking skills. Students will have to navigate through tight horizontal and vertical openings, bulkhead doors, and small vertical ladders to name a few. Scenarios will require multiple anchors, rigging and change of directions that may not necessarily be found in standard confined space training props. The training areas that will be used are off limits to visitors and student will get unique access to the ship. In this program, scenarios will involve boiler rooms, bulkheads, and walkways. Students will get the opportunity to rappel from atop the ship’s radar tower super structure. This course is customized to reflect real world challenges and to ensure the rescue process and obstacles are effectively managed. The focus of the classes will be on confined space rescue operations but the principles covered will apply to a wide range of rescue scenarios for emergency response and industrial applications. Students may also choose to sleep on the ship for the week of the course to avoid the daily driving. This unique opportunity is available at a reduced rate.
